A handy accessory for walkers everywhere, the Impulse CS-1 pedometer determines how much walking you do during the average workout or workday, so you'll know exactly how far you've gone and how far you still have to go. The CS-1 measures your progress in steps, with a counter that extends up to 99,999. It's estimated that 10,000 steps is the equivalent of roughly 5-1/4 miles (the actual number may vary based on step stride), so all but the most tenacious ultra-marathon walkers will be covered by the CS-1. And the pedometer couldn't be easier to use, with a large LCD display, a single reset button, and an instruction diagram on the inside of the lid that calculates calorie levels. The CS-1, which sports a clamshell design to prevent accidental resetting, also comes with an extra-heavy-duty spring clip that attaches to a belt or pack.
